My daughter got the Shaymin keychain for one of her smaller birthday presents. He's one of her favorite Pokemon, and once we saw these, it was an instant buy. It's cool to see something not-so-basic for a very low price, plus it's great to see Pokeballs that open and close coming back after a few unsuccessful attempts over the last couple of years.
Shaymin is the standard keychain figure size, and they did perfectly with sculpting him. In fact, I think he looks more true to the original design than the bigger one that comes in the set with Yanmega and Wobbuffet. He's attatched to the keychain, and it's connected pretty well. The Pokeball has a small opening on one side so you can even use the Pokeball as a keychain ornament, though it's probably too big to fit in anyone's pocket (unless you still wear Jncos). The ball looks like it should, and all you do is press the button to open it up to access the Pokemon inside.
The reason I'm giving this 3 stars for durability is that the Pokeball is made of pretty thin plastic, and you could easily crush it in one hand by accident. Watch out when throwing it and pretending to catch things too, because if it contacts a hard surface, it'll be a goner.
These Pokemon keychain figures make great little gifts, and I'm about ready to go get one for myself too now. How can you say no to a Shaymin keychain?? |

| This is a very cute book that stars Bulbasaur. A boy and agirl want to use their money to buy something, but they each wantsomething different. The girl wants to buy a tulip, and the boy wants to buy a frog. Then, they find a Bulbasaur, which they think will solve all their problems. After all, Bulbasaur looks like a frog with a tulip on it's back. However, the boy tries to feed Bulbasaur flies, but Bulbasaur doesn't like flies. The girl tries to water the bulb on Bulbasaur's back, but the water's too cold(Not only that, Bulbasaur's bulb won't sprout until it evolves into Ivysaur, but the girl obviously didn't know that.). Finally, Bulbasaur has to go out into the forest and find a real frog and tulip to give to the boy and girl. This book teaches kids to use creativity to solve problems, which is why I'd recommend it to kids. |
Board book best for the 3 and under crowd.

| This is a cute board book that is appropriate for the toddler set. If your child is at all familiar with the characters of the Pokemon video series, he or she may be disappointed: "Bulbasaur's troubles" does not follow the story line of the series at all, rather, it tells a very simple story involving Bulbasaur. Probably a perfect book for a little sibling of a Pokemon crazed kid! |

The series is made up of 10 Pokemon figures (INCLUDED):
